fisher house

We watched "My Architect" last night. Other than his more significant works in Bangladesh and India, this is my favorite structure designed by Louis Kahn. It's the Norman Fisher house, built in the 1960s.

I didn't love the film's execution, but the concept was cool: a son getting to know his dead (and somewhat iconic) father through his architecture. And I guess that makes the film's execution that son's prerogative.

I haven't seen that movie in a long time but I remember loving it.

We'll have to discuss.

That was a pretty enjoyable film. Kind of slow in parts, but I really liked when Kahn met the boat guy (the way his demeanor changed when he found out who he was)and of course the Bangladesh segment.

Ali! We have it at home right now from Netflix. We were going to watch it this weekend, but we were too busy watching Austin City Limits. We'll watch it and let you know what we thought.

I love this house...the structure and of course...the windows. I think they can make a house.
