bowl on-a-string

I'm in la-la-love with this DIY porcelain tapestry bowl: pretty to look at, but also to think about: reminds me a little of Oppenheim's teacup, seeing as its very makeup also renders it quite unusable.

When looked at in this artistic light, 85 pounds doesn't seem quite as stiff.

Designed by Vautrin & Delvigne for Industreal. (Which is also fun to browse).

I think this is quite cute in an old timey sort of way.

I doubt, if I DIM (did it myself) it would look anything like this cute little bowl with the pretty rose pattern. :(

I never would've made the connection to Oppenheim--cool connection, Ali! Makes this item much more interesting.
