Ha! I like this. I was an Art History major, but I only knew about it from reading too many Interior Design magazines when I was growing up.
Ladies apparently if you want to learn the really useless, fancy words for "chinese inspired goods" you have to be an Interior Design major.
I kind of like this stuff. Not sure if I'd actually use it, but it sort of sucks me in.
I'm thinking the chinoiserie was brought up in Domino? Thanks for the info, because if this was the term I actually did in fact stumble across, I now know what they were getting at.
