from the passenger seat
We went from Salt Lake to Pocatello, Pocatello to Rexburg, Rexburg to Island Park, Island Park to West Yellowstone, West Yellowstone to Henry's Lake, Henry's Lake to Lake Hebgen, Lake Hebgen to the Gallatin River Valley, the Gallatin River Valley to Bozeman. And then back again, through Montana, Idaho, and finally, home to Utah.
These are just some of the views I was afforded from the passenger seat:
Round, yellow hills near Pocatello, Idaho.
More gold and haziness just outside Bozeman, Montana.
Sunbeams and rain clouds out the other window on Henry's Flats.

Wow what a trip! Sounds like you covered some ground. These are some seriously beautiful shots. Love your work.
you amaze me with your on the road photographs. these seem to depict what you love, wide open space out west. just beautiful.
welcome home.
I especially love the photo of the gold fields against the gray skies. Ali, you are one talented girl!
My favorite is the dirt road/gray sky one. I love it!
lovely photos....loving the golden fields, thanks for sharing!
I'm originally from St. Anthony, ID, the town just south of Ashton...love the photos of my old stomping grounds.
I love Bozeman and that drive you took through West Yellowstone. I used to live in Missoula and for a while my boyfriend lived in Bozeman so I'm very familiar with that beautiful drive. I'm jealous of your roadtrip!
I LOVE island park!
I went there for the first time last year! So pretty.
I really wanted to see a bear... but no luck :)
love the photos. You weren't lying when you said they were beautiful. Wish I could go to Bozeman. I have heard it is beautiful.
Great pictures Ali! I especially love the last picture! Ha! It's a rare moment to get that serious of a face out of Curtis.
How fun! I love the one with the cattle.
Great photos Ali!
I can see your own little photo style coming on here.. I like it.
do you know the song passenger seat by dead cab for cutie? it´s perfect for your lovely photos, i think.
Aww...your comment on the last photo is so sweet. It's always breathtaking to see wide opened spaces on road trips, very different to that in the UK but both awesome, beautiful rain clouds shot.
