ali as mum

I played mum to this adorable chickpea and her five-year-old sister and 11-month-old brother for four days last week. I was a little terrified by this venture, as I have no mothering experience. We did pretty well (maybe I have some motherly instincts), if I do say so myself. I like to think they might even miss me.

This little one loves "possicles" and had just polished off her third one that day.

Three possicles a day! No wonder they miss you.

I know you have lots of motherly instincts and it's a lot easier when they are your own. I'm sure they miss you guys!

cute little girl! i feel for you ali. being the youngest in the family, we don't tend to get much experience in that department.

Oh what a nice experience! She is a doll, it makes it easier when they are soo darn cute, but what kid isn't cute? Glad to hear you have motherly instincts, if that is what you wanted to find out!

A few years ago I agreed to watch my sister's 3 girls over a long weekend.

Day 1. neighbor backed into my car. Ended up being the only adult in costume at a halloween party.

Day 2. Olivia broke my nose. Drove Sophie half way to school with van door open.

Day 3. Abby got stomach flu, stayed up all night.

I was exhausted by the time she came home.
