stuff we did: AZ
We drove directly to my grandparents' house out in "the hills." Actually, it's more of a valley. We enjoyed their always-charming hospitality: chilled Cokes in the fridge, grilled cheese sandwiches, the softest sheets, their company and wisdom and wit.
The lighting was tough, but I took photos of all my grandma's things like a good granddaughter should.

Goodness, how I love a crisp little crocheted doilie. So dainty. Your blog is delightful.
Mmm. How I love all grandmothers' decor. I think I'll go see my grandma today.

The pink footed soap dish says it all. I think she has had that thing forever- these pictures are making me want to head to the hills.

These photos look as if they come from a lifestyle mag--you have such a keen eye, A.! I love the pink cream jar on the mantle--gives that pic a lovely personal touch.
i love grandma houses...
my grandma has the same rollers and comb, the same powder dishes, and the same doily covering her dresser.

you are such a good grand daughter. these photos are fab.
I'm jealous.
That bathroom! I recognized it in two seconds. What a wonderful capturing and rendering of one of my favorite rooms in the whole wide world---grandma's bathrrom. Full of potions and lotions and most important--lots of pink and gold.
