strawberry pocky

Anyone ever tried Pocky? I spied the Japanese treat at my local grocer and picked it up because it looked cute. Turns out it tastes pretty good, too. I'm going to try chocolate next time.

OH MY GOODNESS! It' my obsession. Try the "Men's" pocky in the teal box. It's dark chocolate... I guess because women can't handle the intense chocolaty-ness of dark chocolate. I haven't tried the strawberry.

Hi Ali, I love Pocky! Chocolate is definitely my favorite. If you can find it, I also love Yan Yan (chocolate). The packaging is divided into two compartments - one for the biscuits and one for the dipping chocolate!

Oh my, I lived off of these when I was in Japan. Good find, Ali!

I used to eat these back in the day, back before "blogging" and "indie" was "cool" and people only shopped at thrift stores because they had to, so yeah, everyone made fun of me eating them but they were so good and so relaxing. (I enjoy the strawberry better.)

Mmm, I love Pocky in all its variations! I can eat an entire box without realizing it, so tasty. And plus, how can you say no to the pink?

So you can get this at a normal grocery store? I will have to ask my Dad about it, he went to Japan on his mission. He has given us rice candy things before, but not this! I must try it now!

i'm not a "fruity" dessert person, so i think the chocolate is waaaay better. i also like the "men's" dark chocolate, but i've only seen it in japan, where they have a pretty wide selection of flavors.

also: in the tokyo airport, you can get giant pocky! it's about the width of a pencil and maybe 15 inches long, and it's *amazing.*

My fiance flipped when we found Pocky at Cost Plus World Market in Omaha. I'm not sure how he first learned about it. We bought a big bag of the strawberry because that's what they had, but I've tried the chocolate and it's just as yummy.

Pocky is a cult in Asia! I still remember the jingle. Oooo-kay, o-kay, Pocky!

I like black sesame Pocky and strawberry Fran. Fran is a more "luxurious" version of Pocky so strawberry Fran has bits of "strawberry" in the cream.

Have you tried Pretz? The savoury version of Pocky!
