boring name, good product

I've been keeping my eye out for Thomas O'Brien's "Modern Bi-Fold Shelf." It went out of stock months ago but has finally made a comeback. You'll see it standing attractively against the far-left wall in the picture on the left.

It's $239.99 at Target.com. Reader reviews give it five stars, which is a good sign. I imagine a similar design going for upwards of $1000 at furniture/designer boutiques.

On a side note, it drives me crazy that Target.com continues to use this image as its teaser icon/ image link for O'Brien's furniture collection though the product is nowhere to be found on the site. I would snatch it up, if it were. At least I think I would, depending on the price. Right now, I see it as a mean trick.

Hey. Let me know if you find that piece of furniture they've used as trickery. I kind of like it too.

I really like that shelf Ali, and I can think of a million things I would put on it. Wish I had room for it... actually, maybe I don't.

Jamie: if anyone could find it, it would be YOU, not me. Your Proenza Schouler Internet shopping tricks were off the hook!

Katie's (from Anthropologie) twin sister works for Thomas O'Brien in New York. Maybe she knows how to find it.

I own this shelf and am looking to sell it. I need sturdier shelves for my multitude of books I wanted to put on it. They are nice and sturdy, but I loaded them up. I don't have knicknacks, which would look better on it any way.
