storytelling

One of my dream jobs would be to work for StoryCorps. I love the idea of a vast oral history project, and roaming the country in one of these silver beauties, listening to familial loved ones as they recount their life stories and experiences. A journal writer, I'm big on personal histories. The average-Joe kinds are my favorite.

If I could, I would sponsor a door-to-door or outposts effort. You can listen to the latest weekly clip on this page, or look to NPR, as a StoryCorps essay is part of every Friday's Morning Edition. They almost always make me tear-up.

I love Story Corps too. I've been alone in my car crying a number of times on my way to work. Yeah, NPR!

Me too... I love the stories- mostly very personal- that are shared. Easily get me to tear up, as well!
