no regrets

When Curtis and I moved into our little place, we decided to paint much of it yellow. We were extremely confident at first, then a little apprehensive, but now we're very resolved with the golden tone that backdrops our lives. Our flat feels nice and warm and sunny year-round.

That said, I'm so happy to be seeing yellow all over the place. I laughed when I saw this page from this month's Real Simple, simple-y because it looks a little like a wall in my home. Granted, mine is not as full or polished, but it does have a little clock on it (which was the subject of the article)--one my Grandpa bought for me about ten years ago. I guess all I'm saying is that even though I like our choice, I don't mind a little reassurance.

I'm also loving all the yellow stuff and magazine spreads over at Decor8. Just scroll down to see it all; it's the color of the month over there.

Oh yes, and let's not forget the golden cover of Blueprint and of course, the Mellow + Yellow swap.

I love that color! And the likeness to the Real Simple spread is uncanny. You could work for them--writing and designing.

Let's hear it for yellow walls!

Ali, this is Kristin! Thanks for viewing and posting on my blog :) I'm a newly blogger and love to have new visitors and meet new people. I love your yellow...I think it's hard to find the right yellow and it looks like you did a great job:) Our house would have been a lot more yellow (I love warm tones) but my husband just isn't a fan, which is why I live through the visions of others.

I also love your yellow walls... We're currently in a paint crisis over our yellow walls. We've 'tested' 2 different paint colors, and still can't find something!!! I'm envious that you've found something you love; hopefully we'll find something soon.
