confession 1:

Tonia tagged us (yes, all of us) and challenged us to post something "real" about ourselves, since on our blogs, we like to put forward our best feet and freshest face. For me, it's an attempt at staying away from getting too personal (I don't think the www audience needs to know too much about my private goings-ons) but I also think we forget to address the real matters and shapes of things, sometimes.

As such, I'll be providing five confessions this week--this one shorter, but hopefully some longer--because the fact that anybody might think I'm anything close to perfect scares the pants off of me.

Confession No. 1: I just folded a load of laundry I had to "air fluff" two separate times because I let them sit in the drier for too long on two separate occasions before I folded them. We're talking days-long.

Not too terrible or consequential, but I'm just warming up. If you read this, consider yourself tagged, too.

Ali! You just reminded me about a load of laundry, I obviously forgot about, I've left sitting. In the dryer. 2 days ago... Glad I'm not the only one!

I don't have the luxury of letting laundry sit. In fact I have the opposite problem. I time it to the minute and then rush to the (shared) laundry room to get it as soon as it's done. I don't want anyone stealing my cute clothes (if you don't believe me...it really does happen)?

Maybe my self esteem is too healthy but I don't consider leaving your laundry in the dryer a flaw. :)

My clothes get folded right away but that is because my reality is a laundrymat. When the baskets of clean clothes come home, they wait a long time to be hung up, sometimes forever.

I'm assuming that washing a load of laundry twice (once because they were dirty and twice because they smelled like mildew from sitting in the washer for three days) is comparable!

I leave laundry both in the dryer and in the basket (and not even folded) for days. Often I have to put the old load away just to use the basket to carry a new load downstairs. These are the realities of life.

I put my eye glasses through the wash once (not purposefully) and was totally surprised to find them totally fine, in one piece and sparkling clean!
