an office in the making

Curtis and I spent a lot of hours redesigning my (well, our) office. Without blowing our budget. Thanks to IKEA for making this possible (and for making returns such a breeze as long as I have my "original packaging.") I got a nice and long white desk, a new teal-ish chair that matches my rug, and a new cubey storage unit. I also got three huge cork boards that I'm either a) going to paint, or b) cover in fabric. And a few other little office-y doodads.

It's still pretty bare bones, but kudos to C and I for pulling it together, if I don't say so myself. If and when it gets better-looking, I'll consider doing a photo tour of my new digs. (I work from home, these days.)

I can't even imagine how much more productive I'll be in my pretty, new workspace.

Is it possible to be insanely jealous over a home office? If yes, then you got me. I so so want a home office. Not just to be organised, but to not have to commute would be a dream. And you get to shop at IKEA to deck it all out. Sigh! Looks good kid.

How exciting I would love a proper work space. I love the desk, the white is so clean and efficient-looking. In the past I have spray painted cork boards, cork and all, generally in a cream colour and they always look fresh. Enjoy your space! : )

Nice job--want to come to my house next? I haven't been able to use my desktop since...sometime in 2005.

P.S. Can't wait to see the LIGHTING scheme.
