One summer I decided I wanted to learn to embroider. I came by this perfectly-outdated book on a daytrip to Oxford from London. I loved it for its kitschy patterns, which include palm trees, ice cream cones and love birds.
I still use it when I feel like learning a new stitch. It's called "The Anchor Book of Free-Style Embroidery Stitches." You can find it here. It looks like newer versions are available on Amazon, but I can't guarantee the same choice patterns will be included.

That palm tree pattern is co cute! I have always wanted to learn how to embroider, it's nice that the book teaches you the different styles, always lovely to have that available in a book, just in case.
I'd love o be able to embroider properly, there are so many stitches to learn. Love the palm tree illustration.

The palm tree is my favorite. I totally remember this book and loved flipping thru it.
