Gordon B., you were my first favorite. I will never forget how I felt being in the same large room with you that spring day in Hawaii. Though we're going to miss you here, I'm happy you and Marjorie are together again. It pained me to see you apart. Thank you for being full of spirit, love, humor, strength and charisma---and for swinging that cane of yours with such cheeriness. It made you seem real. Even if they didn't want to admit it, I think everyone who met you loved you in some way, too.

I saw GBH in Hawaii as well (1998, I think). So sad to lose him. My Catholic father-in-law called to give us the news last night - he really was loved by all.

well-said. i think he's one of those people who is so good he is kind of everyone's favorite. he has so much love you just can't help but love him back.
