cherry blossom girl

I really, really, really wish a could speak a little French so I could read her blog. Until I have time to take on the language lessons, her wonderful photos will have to suffice. Her space is girlie goodness in the purest, Parisian form. Her life seems so fun and romantic. As I browse the photos, I think to myself, she likes everything that I like. Only she likes it better, and really makes it happen. She even finds the cute in skiing. I like to pop in from time to time for living-vicariously opportunities. Merci, Cherry Blossom Girl. (I can at least say that much.)

Again, thanks for the introduction, Layers of Meaning. I owe you big time.

I, too, wish I could speak French to be able to READ her blog...however, there is something romantic about only looking, and not "reading" into things.

Thanks for the introduction! I love her modern fashion takes on some of my favorite childhood characters. Very clever.

i agree, i have linked to her blog and visit it often, even though i have NO idea what she's saying. her photos express such a playful loveliness!

Those are SO much fun. Even my four years of high school French aren't really helping.

I hope her blogger name is a nod to the French pop band Air.

Oh, NO! My macaroons! My Pierre Herme macaroons!

Years ago, pre-Internet, I clipped a pic of these macaroons from Vogue and stuck it in my datebook along with random pictures of couture and interesting buildings. It was like a totem for me, up until I found out that Pierre Herme had licensed those macaroons to a grocery chain the southeastern US. This destroyed much of the glamour, but I have subsequently forgiven him.

Thankfully, I can read French, and therefore can enjoy that blog

When I want to read a foreign language blog, I just copy and paste the text here:

and voilĂ !

Try it! It's not a perfect translation... but enough to get the meaning!

She seems very charming! I'm not big on poses and props so I prefer the last photos to the first...dare I say that I think I like your photos just as well or better?

Anything named "cherry blossom" has to be pretty good. Thanks for the heads-up!
