The Mount, Edith Wharton's beloved respite, is slated for foreclosure. I'm a fan of both preserving historical landmarks (like this) and literary-and-juicy novels like "The Age of Innocence." If you are too, you should make a donation over here.

As a huge fan of Wharton's work, this makes me too sad. Off to make a donation...
What a beautiful estate! I second your motion to preserving historical landmarks, and I remember loving that book in HS English class. Thanks for advertising this cause!
