I've loved this so much. It's reminded me of all the little moments I love about this movie. Is there a way we can request more movie/blog posts? Like a week of 'Life Aquatic'--or whichever are your faves?
This little girl looks dead up like my mother when she was that age. True story: she asked her mother if she could climb the lightening antenna up to her roof and my grandmother, thinking she was joking, said, "sure." So my mother climbed all the way to the top until her weight began to make the antenna bend and sway. My grandfather heard her holler for help and rescued her, but once she was back on safe ground, my panicked grandmother gave her a spanking! So sad. Poor mother. All she had to say was, "but, you said I could."
I haven't said anything all week, but I absolutely adore all your Amelie posts! It's been a while since I saw it and I'm jonesing for a DVD night now!!

Yes! Miniature Amelie is adorable in her malevolence. Your Amelie dedication has been consistently brilliant :)
