gilmore-girls-jump-jack-14

I never realized that I wanted to jump off a seven-story platform in a prom dress, holding an umbrella and screaming at the top of my lungs until I saw this episode of "Gilmore Girls." (I used to hate on this show but now it sort of comforts me when I'm far away from home. That's another story.) In fact, I wouldn't mind doing any of the activities that take place at the super-exclusive Yale party featured in this episode: Dress in 1920s attire, sleep on a well-dressed cot by candlelight in the New England woods, eat delicate finger foods and shoot kids jumping on trampolines with paint guns? Yes, please.

Who is going to re-create this party for us? Jordan might be our only hope. :)

Funny, I started watching Gilmore Girls when I moved back to Utah from the D.C. area. :) It kept me from getting homesick and going crazy all day at home alone with my little one. This is one of my very favorite episodes. It's on my tivo right now and I can't wait to re-watch it tonight!

How funny...I don't even know you but was just blog surfing while watching that same episode on dvr. I was thinking how awesome their secret society activities sounded and pondering going back to school just so I could try and get into something like that! lol. Then I stumbled upon your blog and see the people jumping with umbrellas! So neat! :)

that is the episode that had me watching gilmore girls. if it is ever recreated, i really want an invite, even though you don't know me. what better way to get to know someone than having a conversation without e's. :)

I also have to confess to loving this show! AND this is a FAB episode. My husband was like, "hey that actually looks cool. Using people instead of clay pigeons" And I agree about the 1920's African safari camping party.

Oh, how I miss the Gilmore Girls! This was one of my favorite episodes. although, I do have to say I wasn't happy with the last season or so...Rory just wasn't Rory-like enough for me. lol

I just think the show was so pretty. I did start missing Lane and Suki and all the town characters that wasn't around so much at the end.

the laurels planned a gilmore girls watching activity in two weeks. that might have to be the episode. we just have to do something productive while we are watching it.

Gilmore Girls is an embarrassingly good show. Even though I'm terrified of heights... I think I'd love to take that jump as well!

Maybe I should edit my emotions on this topic but I am not embarrassed to say- I love Gilmore Girls. Any show that boasts Norman Mailer, Christiane Amanpour, Sonic Youth, and Mary Lynn Rajskub as guest stars stands in good stead with me! An excellent and for that matter beautifully art directed episode.

Ridiculously addictive show. An English major's guilty pleasure! I get unexplainable glee in hearing references to Sylvia Plath, Dorothy Parker, and others! So sad the show is over. Thank goodness I own all 8 seasons. =)

I was a GG fan..I have the first season on DVD and after much discussion and lack of any other choices we named our son, Pacey. The best things is that it really fits his personality!

I sort of guiltily like this show as well, and why I haven't by any means seen every episode, this one always sticks out in my mind as well. It looks like so much fun! If you ever get it together, please let me know and I'll be there in a heartbeat.
