goodbye #27

I knew I was going to have a hard time saying goodbye to shoddy #27, as much as I hated to admit it. But no matter how squeaky the floors, how thin the walls, how icky the bathroom, how ugly the blinds, how creepy the laundry room, how many layers of yellow-white paint, how impossibly malfunctioning each and every door and doorknob (if you want to get nit-picky), this old place---and one little green room in particular---will have a special place in my heart. My baby's first room became a nearly sacred place, just for us.

Goodbye to our address of 2.5 years. We'll miss you, Arlington.

Saying goodbye is hard. We really miss Arlington. Sometimes I still tear up when I think about it.

I love these photos. Good luck in Richmond!

A-dorable!! I couldn't help but think of the early pics of Oscar in that room while you tracked his (rapid) growth from a newborn. I will miss #27 too--some good times were had in that shoddy little apartment. Now on to new adventures.

ps. I don't think I could ever get tired of looking at pictures of Oscar. The fan club thanks you for pic-heavy post :)

I can so relate to this post! In July we'll be moving out of our tiny one bedroom apartment and as much as I can't wait to leave behind the gross carpet and ugly old cupboards, it was still our son's first home and part of me will miss it.

I just love your blog and look forward to checking in to see how things are going with your next adventure!

I've had so many homes, I know how you feel about leaving them all. Hope your new one is even better.
