snowberry ridge, slc

Though I'm not crazy about the name, I'm intrigued by Snowberry Ridge, a new eco-conscious (and spendy) community being constructed in Emigration Canyon that features homes designed like the plan pictured above.

See more here.

If they are eco-conscious then why are they building in the canyon?!

Ashley, I was just thinking the EXACT same thing. Beautiful place to live, but sad for our mountains!

The house design looks 'berry' good, but I don't know if it is 'snowberry' good to be up the canyon.

I know I'm dumb.

Looks pretty good to me.

Bad news guys. The big ol' houses have already been going up there for like ten years.

More than 10 years but the word community is scary. Looking into their website though I am only seeing 3 homes available with huge lots so that is a good thing...for now. A lot of their sustainable building design initiatives make sense but it appears they may be available at an added cost to the home owner and there are some fuzzy areas like the light bulbs?! what are they going to monitor their residents to make sure they use florescent bulbs? Come on. I agree on all accounts that the name is terrible not to mention misleading. I am now stepping down from my soap box.
