rhodia

I became intrigued with Rhodia when I spied an orange notebook at the Museum of Useful Things in Boston. Apparently, I was really late on this one. Rhodia has a following that is nothing short of cultish, as I was soon to discover. I learned that aside from their sleek-and-minimal notebooks, Rhodia also has:

01. Its own blog called Rhodia Drive where devotees publish their doodles and share their love.
02. Its own Flickr group.
03. Lots of designs on its online store. I like the classic and orange types best.

I bought my first Rhodia's in France 8 years ago, and I loved them so much that I didn't want to write in them for fear I wouldn't be able to find more here in the states. There is just something about those orange notebooks!

Yeah I've seen these and admired them on the shelf, stacked like this. But you can't beat a Moleskine as far as I'm concerned too...

Bad news, Museum of Useful Things Closed. I went there a few weeks ago and it was gone. Sad.

I haven't seen these before, they are great! Love their simplicity, but then they are so recognisable by the colour. Have to keep an eye out for them.

Yes! I know these! I bought one when I lived in France a few years ago. I loved the grid pages (usually I am an unruled page girl). But I haven't seen them in NZ. Boo. Actually France does has fabulous stationery. I stocked up on tissue lined envelopes which I haven't seen anywhere else. At least not for a price.
Good post Ali!
