tenenbaums cross stitch

Tenenbaums is easily my favorite Wes Anderson film. Rushmore comes in second. C and I watched 'Baums the other night and my favoritism was confirmed ten times over. That movie is so so good.

And then I found this Tenenbaums cross stitch by Pigeons Playing Roller Derby. Pretty awesome, right?

Tenenbaums favorite movie of all time...Rushmore 2nd favorite. Love Wes Anderson...sigh.

You should do a Tenenbaums week similar to your Amelie week...hmm.

my husband is in love with tenenbaums and just may be taking up cross stitch as his new hobby...

This is great. The only bummer is that the old SOB himself, Royal, gets short shrift in this cross stitch. Gene Hackman is a straight up genius.

I was going to say 'Hey, those look in the style of flip flop flyin' minipops' and then I clicked the link and was glad to see the reference to it. I loved that site when I found it my first year in college, and made a Noah's Ark minipop and submitted it to the site. Made a few more as well but I forget what they were.

Thanks for the link and kind words!

How did Royal get short shrift? He's right in the middle! :) Wish I'd have added Buckley next to the kids, but I was already done with Richie by the time I thought of it and I wasn't about to unstitch him.

The first one of these Minipop-based cross stitches I did was Max Fisher: http://www.flickr.com/photos/rubykhan/2258791320/
