i've been had

To remind us of a fun vacation we went on last year at right about this time, I ordered a candle for C's birthday. I couldn't believe my eyeballs when I opened the good-sized box to find a thumbnail-size object inside---so small I was bashful about even putting a bow on it for his special day, afraid he would think I was gifting him with a free sample. As Chuck would say, I was bamboozled.

Guess I should have taken the "little" part seriously. And I should learn how to better interpret burn-time on candle life. And reconsider my obsession with mini things. :)

p.s. For the curious, I paid upwards of $18 for the little guy (shipping included). Yikes.

Yowza! Itty bitty candle.

They should use this picture on their site to communicate the size!

Oops, that sucks! You could give it to him anyways, just explain to him afterwards that you thought it was much bigger...?

Boo! You have been bamboozled. I don't know, though. Anything that came from the Biltmore might be worth it :)

Clever pic for the full effect of scale--or lack thereof.
