beauty parlour, please

1

I need a day out. And I'm not headed home to Utah as soon as I would like, and my out-of-control tresses are in need of some attention. (At last, I think the post-prego shedding has stopped.)

Can anyone recommend a stylist and/or colorist in the DC/Arlington area? I have no idea where to start.

Unlike Betty, I need more than a comb-out....

chris from parlour salon on u st. is the greatest thing that's ever happened to my head.

the staff at new salon immortal beloved is also a well-picked assortment of the best in town.

washingtonian also does a *ton* of research putting together their annual best salons list, so it's pretty trustworthy.

good luck!

I go to Abbey at Parlour Salon on U Street. She's amazing and always gives me a cute cut. I had been searching for a good stylist in DC for more than four years before I found her.

Wish I could help you out, but NYC is only worse, I think, than...pretty much anywhere. Love the Betty shot, though :)

Remi at Salon one80 in the District. He's amazing. I literally just flew back from Utah for a cut! And his colorists are top notch.

They're located around 13th and K.

P.S. Who do you love in SLC? I'm looking...

Thank you, ladies!

Immortal Beloved, or Bang Salon. Both are in DC, they are both young, stylish, edgy and hip.

i go to pr at partners in metro center - Pat's my man. i've only been going for a couple months, but i love the salon and Pat always does a great job (except he's never quite gotten my bangs to look how i'd like them to - but not sure if that's his fault of my false sense of self?)

love your blog!
