5:00 p.m. in Virginia
It is 5 p.m. in Virginia and I am:
- Amazed at the muted sunshine pouring in, like it's only 3 p.m.
- Thinking about a favorite homemade pasta sauce for dinner.
- So happy Oscar decided to try Clementine oranges again today.
- Applauding Curtis for cleaning out the Jetta, as I write.
- Grateful for Whole Foods' sale on air-chilled chicken.
- Glad I decided to work out even though I loathe it.
- Trying to stick to a budget. (No Hasbeens for me.)
- Enjoying the quiet of a bright, early evening.
- Watching videos of Oscar head-bobbing to Naughty by Nature.
- Procrastinating waking him from his nap.
- Thinking I should hang something, anything on these bare walls but know it will take me six months to do so.

Air chilled chicken! it's pathetic, but that would make my day, too.
I left work at 5 p.m. today and it was *still light out* and I didn't have to walk home in the dark for the first time in months. Loved it.
I can't wait for warm sunny evenings. I'm a little jealous.
Go Oscar! Clems are gooood. (Have you Blog'ged It! about the pasta sauce you are talking about? Sounds delish.)
aww i didn't know you live in va, too! i'm a newcomer to your blog but totally love it :) (especially your header - so cute!)
i so relate to your last point - my walls are indeed bare and in need of something & it so easily falls to the bottom of the to do list...
I love your sofa? Where did you find it?
