shades of grey

shades of gray

The more I think about it, the more I realize that heather grey (the kind immortalized by every gym class since 1960---even rebel Danny Zuko wore sweats) is nearly as classic as denim. I want to wear it every day, and it seems to go with everything.

Don't be afraid to pick up a little boy's crewneck at Target. I might have.

Left to right, top to bottom: Crinkled Sweatshirt by Joie, Sweatshirt by Daftbird, Sweatshirt Pullover from Madewell, Grey Bow Sweatshirt by Manuelle et Guillaume, Parts of a Whole Pullover by Left of Center, Drapey Short Sleeve Sweatshirt from Loft.

You know it's funny, I just bought a grey sweater like one of these at target the other day, and even though its rather plain it's my favorite 'round the house' top. Despite it's lazy look, I feel pretty wearing it.

Oh my gosh, so funny that you should say that, there is a cashmere sweatshirt in grey heather at JCrew that is saying to me: "You know you will wear me until I am in threads, you know your children will hear about me...so why haven't you bought me yet?"

Heather grey is my go-to: jeans, heather grey round-neck tee and boat shoes. Its my weekend uniform and, gosh, I love it. Even better with a white stripe or two thrown in!
