making me happy this week

1. Spaghetti dinner made by Curtis for me. I had a rough day.
2. Handwritten note from mom. She thinks I have and can make my dreams come true.
3. Grandma's cursive on a card sitting unopened for me.
4. All of these shoes but especially these ones.
5. Famous so happy to see my face that I worry she might burst.
6. Finding four must-have bags and buying not one, but four. (Have three sisters.)
7. Hum of the air conditioner at night.
8. The smell of rain.
9. RealSarah (a spinoff of BlogTonia) and more keeping-it-realness.
10. Royal Mail stamp.
11. Bag made with love.
12. Cake every day of the week, thanks to Mom (and that's confession No. 5).
13. It's Bridgett's birthday. I guess that makes it my birthday, too.

{Cropped photo of me I stole from Marta. She calls it "Top of the World" and that's how it felt.}

I was just about to leave a comment on your Aqueduct post & saw you had just posted this. I love your 'making me happy this week' lists. So there I was reading it and smiling and then I came to number 9. OMG! I am so chuffed I made you happy! Thanks Tonia for making that happen. Very cool.
Love this post and not just because I made it on the list (but I'm still chuffed!)
But wait is it your birthday?

Oh Ali, Happy Birthday my dear! I love this time of year. Perfect for birthdays :)

A birthday poem for YOU:
Ali is quite the writer, she is also very afraid of spiders. She brightens up the world around, without even having to make a sound. Her style and taste I do enjoy, I read her blog like it's a toy.
this poem is lame because I can't write, it'll probably bug me like an insect bite.

happy birthday.

Things making me happy this week:

-Ali's sense of style and sense of wonder.
-Ali's big-heartedness toward people and small animals.
-The way she looks at the world that is critical and optimisic, finding deserving and happy surprises all the time.
-Her unabashedness.
-Her terrible, terrible nail-biting problem.
-The way people ubiquitously like her, kind of like Santa Claus, Robby, and Katie Brown.
-The way she immediately disarms people, especially women.
-Her gift with putting things into words, and making her experience our own.

Happy Birthday! Love you.

What a splendid day indeed. Your day of birth is wondrous and you must celebrate 'til you drop.
If I were with you, our day would go something like this:

Breakfast -- Sarabeth Fluffy French Toast
Dessert -- Magnolia Vanilla-Vanilla Cupcake
Lunch -- Shake Shack Cheeseburger, Fries, and Fruity Concrete
Dessert -- Pinkberry Original with mangoes, kiwi, and raspberries
Dinner -- Patsy's Margherita Pizza and Arugula Salad
Dessert -- Cafe Mozart Belgian Waffle Sundae

Ah, well...soon enough we'll do all this and more together. For now, buy some cute shoes and a handbag, go out somewhere nice, swing from the chandeliers, and come home to cuddly Miss Famous.
Happy Happy Day to you my dear. You deserve all the best and more more more.

xoxo.

Is it possible that Grant Calder is on Ali's blog? I heard he has a hairdo just like Jon Bon Jovi, and they're both totally badass.

Ali we wish we could have been there to celebrate and share your favorite dinner.....Kentucky fried chicken. Okay, maybe not anymore. Frosted Flakes? If we could, we would send you Max so you could kiss is scrumptious cheeks and bottle the sound of his laughter for you to enjoy always.

Hey Ali,

Thanks for checking out our shoes at Farylrobin! We have a blog too.....www.farylrobin.blogspot.com. It's so funny because Jackie used the same top from Anthropologie (which you posted in a older blog) to style a look on our blog a few weeks ago. I like your style:)

Keep in touch and take care,
Laura
